What is the Outdoor Diary

The Outdoor Diary is a place where you can come to find out about hundreds of events and activities in the great outdoors, covering Edinburgh, the Lothians and the Scottish Borders. The events are hosted by ranger services and other environmental organisations throughout the area.

The Diary has been made possible by a wide partnership of organisations, including Scottish Natural Heritage, Forestry Commission Scotland , ELREEF, Treefest and Four Winds Inspiration Centre.

An independent group consisting of individuals, local and national organisations who are working to raise awareness about the environment in Edinburgh and the Lothians. Their counterpart in the Borders is Scottish Borders Environment Partnership. Contact by email.

Four Winds Inspiration Centre

Four Winds Inspiration Centre

An environmental education and craft based charity offering a wide range of craft, herbal and renewable energy classes for adults and parents with children. We produce custom-carved chainsaw sculptures for parks, gardens, playgrounds, etc. We also organise the Edinburgh Treefest and Wood Market.
